2 Mistakes To Avoid When You Visit A Dispensary For The First Time

If you have never been to a dispensary before and have decided to start using cannabis for either medical or recreational reasons, you may not quite know what to expect. Because shopping for cannabis products is not like walking into a grocery store, you should prepare yourself a little bit before you go. As part of these preparations, make sure you make note of the following things you should not do when you go to a dispensary, such as Botaniq, for the first time

1.  Forgetting to Bring the Proper Documentation

The first mistake you want to avoid when going to a dispensary for the first time is forgetting to bring the necessary documentation with you. As soon as you step through the doors of the store, you will need to produce it. If you cannot, you will be turned away and have to drive all the way back home to retrieve it.

The first form of documentation you will need to have you probably already have with you, especially if you drove to the shop. You will need a picture ID that is issued by the government, such as your driver's license. This ID is required to not only verify your age but also to allow the store to document that you visited and purchased cannabis and any accessories.

Next, depending on where you live, you may need a medical marijuana card if cannabis is only allowed for this purpose. This card is obtained by your doctor who has deemed it necessary for you to partake of the products for medical reasons, such as anxiety, depression, glaucoma, or even chemo.

2.  Neglecting to Do a Little Research Before Going

Since this is the first time you have ever purchased cannabis, you may be overwhelmed by the options of varieties that are available. Because of this, you may feel you can go to the store and have them answer all of your questions.

However, while the staff is more than happy to help and answer any questions you may have, you should research the varieties they have available before you go. Since regulations require that the dispensary only help a limited amount of people at one time, you may be holding up the line.

At least try to research the medicinal benefits and effects of each variety beforehand. Then, narrow down your selection to a few, and ask about those to see if the staff recommend any of them for your use.

Making sure you avoid making the above mistakes when you visit a dispensary the first time can help you make the experience go more smoothly. For more advice on what you need to bring or how the shopping experience will go, contact the dispensary beforehand so you can gather the information you need.
